OOPNE Membership Information
|
The voting membership of the organization shall consist of current coordinators/directors and faculty members of Ohio schools of practical nursing. Non-voting members include advocates/consultants directly involved with practical nursing in Ohio. Retired individuals may continue as honorary members without voting privileges. All members must be Registered Nurses.

All current memberships expire on December 31st. Annual membership is $35. For specific requests regarding invoicing, you may contact Cris Hampe directly at hampe_c@ccsdistrict.org.

OOPNE Member Awards & Recognition
Excellence in Practical Nursing Education Award
|
The Ohio Organization of Practical Nurse Educators recognizes excellence in Practical Nursing education. Nominees should be current OOPNE members and have a minimum of three (3) years teaching full-time in a PN program. The Executive Committee of OOPNE selects the winner. The winner of the Excellence in PN Education award is announced on the second day of the spring conference.

Member Scholarship
|
The Ohio Organization of Practical Nurse Educators offers two (2) $1500.00 Scholarships each year to two (2) members who are enrolled in an approved program to obtain a BSN or an MS/MSN. Applicants must have been an active member of OOPNE for a minimum of one (1) year prior to submitting an application for the scholarship.

Retiree Recognition
|
The Ohio Organization of Practical Nurse Educators is pleased to recognize the contributions of our members who are leaving Practical Nursing education, whether to retire or pursue other aspects of their careers. Honorees will be recognized on Friday, April 14, 2023 at the Spring Conference. Recognition forms due 4/1/2025. (Note: If the honoree is not attending the conference, there is a $20 luncheon fee.)
